Sunstar Hotel Grindelwald — Dorfstrasse 168, 3818 Grindelwald, Switzerland

Erstens: Wir haben für ein Mountain View bezahlt, aber da war ein großer, hässlicher roter Kran im Weg. Als wir zur Rezeption gingen und fragten, ob wir das Zimmer auf die andere Seite verlegen könnten, sagten sie nein, aber es sei ein Aufpreis von 300 $ pro Nacht verfügbar. Zweitens: Das „Queen“-Bett bestand buchstäblich aus zwei zusammengeschobenen Einzelbetten. Mein Mann fiel die ganze Nacht durch die Ritze. Drittens: Keine Möglichkeit, die Temperatur im Raum zu kontrollieren. Kein Thermostat. Viertens: Schreckliche Kissen. Zwei Kissen für ein „Queen“-Bett und sie waren flach und alt. Wir mussten sie in der Mitte falten, um etwas Komfort zu schaffen. Buchen Sie NICHT hier. Das Zimmer war wirklich klein, was in Ordnung wäre, wenn wir das Zimmer komfortabel hätten und die Aussicht großartig wäre.

Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich. Das Frühstück ist gut. Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers kann verbessert werden. Es wäre gut, wenn der Zimmerschuh im Zimmer vorhanden wäre.

Herrliche Aussicht von unserem Zimmer, das geräumig und sauber war. Gutes Frühstück mit einer großen Auswahl und unglaublich aufmerksamem Barpersonal, freundlich und effizient. Das Hotel hat auch eine großartige Lage, Restaurants usw. im Hauptort sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Alles in allem 5 Sterne für den Sunstar.

I had a great experience. The hotel is very well located, close to all amenities and right in front of the cable cars taking you to the ski slopes. The rooms are clean and very well lit (unlike some where you can't even read). They felt warm and cozy. Also love the fact that you don't need to put your key card in the slot to have light in your room. The only thing missing was extra pillows. The indoor pool is wonderful and has a fantastic view of the snowy mountains, absolutely breathtaking. They have 2 dining rooms, a buffet and a formal dining. You can have a tasty breakfast in the buffet room. The staff were all very nice and friendly. Special thanks to Kitti the barmaid, waitresses Margarida, Barbara, Mara and Carolina, who served us dinner on Christmas eve and Christmas day, wonderful girls. Thank you also to Luís and Daniel for the wonderful breakfast service and Lillie and Dot (apologies I don't know how to spell it) at the front desk. I absolutely recommend this hotel. Although a bit expensive. I will definitely stay there again. Also Grindelwald is a beautiful town, very typical. Top marks.

Great location, dining and wellness facilities. Rooms OK but a bit outdated , same as part of the elevators, hallway etc. Pool was closed on arrival day without any notice to us, the staff was nice to try to give some gifts but unfortunately the pool was one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel.
