Thanks to Rigisport Küssnacht, we flew with Rega. We had planned a snowshoe tour to the Zapport Hut. There were five of us and we had rented snowshoes from Rigisport. When we set off at 8 a.m., one of our colleagues started having problems with his snowshoes after about 2 km. The snowshoes each had four rubber straps. One of the eight straps on his left shoe broke. We thought it could happen and continued the hike. When we were halfway there, he still had about four of the eight straps. This slowed our pace considerably, as our colleague with the broken shoes kept losing his footing, and soon we had to make sure we reached the hut before dusk. However, in the last 300 meters before the hut, all the straps broke, and we had no choice but to call the rescue team, as the snow was impassable without functioning snowshoes. The whole situation became quite dangerous. When we returned and reported the whole incident to Rigisport, they responded in a rather unprofessional manner that this could happen and wasn't their fault. They were only at fault for not warning us that this could happen. However, they were willing to cover 700 francs of the rescue costs. The total amount, however, was 1,560 francs per person. Thank you, Rigisport Team, for your extremely courteous service. We will definitely recommend you.
For decades, this has been a model of uncompromising customer focus and customer satisfaction combined with the best quality and value for money. And a commendable example that a local/regional specialty store can and should be an integral part of the district/region and entrepreneurial spirit, standing up to the "big players" and even to internet e-commerce!
I went there to get some advice about hiking poles. At the beginning, I mentioned that I had already looked online but couldn't decide to buy anything without seeing it in person. The young woman in the shop then told me quite directly that the purpose of her advice was for me to buy the product in the shop. And that she felt the employees should receive something for their personal advice anyway. Since I come from the service industry myself, I found the way she spoke to me rather odd.
