Hotel Meilenstein — Lotzwilstrasse 66, 4900 Langenthal, Switzerland

NEUE BEWERTUNG: Wir waren vor zwei Monaten hier und hatten eine fantastische Erfahrung. Ich habe die folgende Rezension geschrieben, die ich hier lasse, um den Kontrast zu zeigen. Das Hotel hat anscheinend neue Besitzer und sie haben uns am 29. Oktober ein wirklich kaltes Zimmer im ersten Stock gegeben. Wir riefen an der Rezeption an und es dauerte ewig, bis wir eine Heizung bekamen, und als sie es endlich bekamen, funktionierte sie nicht. Um 2:30 Uhr wollte ich gehen und ging zur Rezeption, um eine Rückerstattung zu erhalten und ein Taxi zu buchen. Der Mann an der Rezeption weigerte sich, das Zimmer zu erstatten, und wir mussten Hotels.com anrufen, um seine Zustimmung zu erhalten. Albtraumtyp mit Einstellung. Am Telefon teilte er der Dame sogar mit, dass es draußen und in den Zimmern warm sei. Dann erzählte eine Lüge, dass sie 70 weitere Zimmer gebucht hätten und dass sich niemand sonst jemals beschwert habe. Es ist ein großes Gebäude und sie sparen Heizkosten, während sie 150 CHF und mehr aufladen. Schade, den alten Besitzer gehen zu sehen, sie hatten hier etwas Besonderes. ALTE REZENSION: Tolle Erfahrung. Wir blieben eine Nacht und ich schreibe dies vom Frühstückstisch aus. Nach unserer Ankunft aßen wir das Tomahawk-Steak im Hotelrestaurant – köstlich im Geschmack. Das Frühstück war auch wirklich gut, frische Zutaten, Schinken und Lachs von guter Qualität und eine große Auswahl an Speisen und Köchen, die es zubereiteten. Das Zimmer war makellos sauber, die Dusche unglaublich und selbst als Frau gefiel mir die Oldtimer-Atmosphäre im gesamten Hotel sehr. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und wir hatten einen netten Kellner, der sich um uns gekümmert hat.

Das Hotel eignet sich ideal für einen Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg zu weiteren Zielen. Großer Parkplatz, wunderschön eingerichtete Zimmer und sehr freundliches Personal. Die ausgestellte Autosammlung ist einen Blick wert; Als Autoliebhaber war ich sogar zweimal dort :). Gibt es etwas Negatives zu sagen? Ja, das gibt es. Das Frühstück hätte frischer sein können. Es passte nicht ganz zur Lage des Hotels und zum Preis.

Gute Zimmer und Umgebung, nicht das beste Essen, Lage ist nicht gut. Ich würde es empfehlen, wenn Sie nicht Ihre ganze Reise etwas weit weg von der Stadt hier verbringen möchten.

First, the hotel has a bar right outside just at the entrance which plays really loud music starting after sunset. You would think they would have more of a calm & sophisticated vibe but this showed otherwise. At some point there was even really loud music audible all the way from our room in the upper floors at night until 1:00am. The rooms are spacious which was good, however they are really dusty. Besides, the rooms cannot be locked from the inside, meaning anyone from cleaning service can open the door from outside even though you’re in the room, which happened to us and they opened the door despite knowing that we were there. There was even a big spider web on the chairs outside in the terrace. Expected much more in terms of hygiene. Speaking of which, the terrace is not private there is just a small separating wall but once the person walks a bit to the front they can see all the rooms on that side of the floor. The museum was nice to see. The breakfast is quite average as there is not much variety for a 4 star hotel and some of the pastries were dry and the scrambled eggs were placed right next to the bacon in the buffet and some were using the same spatula to grab both which might not be a suitable option for anyone who doesn’t eat meat/bacon. One of the waitresses at breakfast was also really rude and never smiled at anyone. The ladies at the reception were really nice though.
