Wir waren auf einer Veranstaltung, bei der Starfood einen Essensstand hatte. Wir beobachteten eine Mitarbeiterin, die mit Einweghandschuhen zur Toilette ging und dann zum Stand zurückkehrte, ohne sich die Hände zu waschen und immer noch dieselben Handschuhe zu tragen. Eine direkte Konfrontation über unsere Hygienebedenken blieb zunächst erfolglos (sie meinte, sie würde diese später ändern). Erst nach dem Eingreifen anderer zog sie die Handschuhe aus. Und derselbe Mitarbeiter ging dann hinter den Essensstand und bereitete die Burger zu. Beim Umgang mit Lebensmitteln ist Hygiene oberstes Gebot und ein solches Verhalten ist völlig inakzeptabel. Unser Versuch, mit dem Unternehmen Kontakt aufzunehmen, blieb unbeantwortet.
Starfood currently operates a food stand at the Zug Magic water feature on the lake promenade. The food quality is simply poor and falls far short of their usual standards. Nachos for 9 CHF, of course, come from a bag and are served with a mere 1.5 tablespoons of sauce. Bottled drinks are served from the refrigerator, but that doesn't mean they're chilled. My beer was warm. A request for an exchange was met with an unfriendly refusal, and no refund was offered. The staff spoke a mix of German and English, but neither was sufficiently consistent or understandable. As a result, even with just a few customers ordering, a chaotic queue formed, leading to an even more chaotic food service.

WARNING! Starfood charges a 1.- deposit on the displayed price for their wristband payment system at the festival (I experienced this at Openair St. Gallen 2022) without providing a deposit token or informing me as a customer. They simply deduct a higher price. Unfortunately, I only noticed this after the festival when I checked my transactions online. Sure, 1 franc isn't much money for one person; but when you imagine how much money that adds up to over an entire festival... It's outrageous! I will never buy anything from Starfood again and advise everyone else against it.
