Great place with tasteful food. However, staff was a bit rude as for some unexplained reason they had us seated inside, while others were sitting outside. Even after my request, they told me that they were closing, and I had to sit inside. Fun fact, when I left there were people sitting outside.
PROS: -Friendly & efficient service -Good food -Nice location under a shady tree on a hot day -Plenty of parking nearby -English speaking waiters CONS: -None SUMMARY: Most Restaurants in Switzerland stop serving hot meals after 2pm. This restaurant is happy to cook you a meal anytime. The location is central, easy access, lots of parking and plenty of shady outdoor seating on a hot day. I can recommend this Restaurant
YOU NEED TO TRY THEIR CHICKEN. One of the best chicken in the world 🌍🙌🏻😍 I would travel all the way to Altdorf just to eat the chicken. The homemade sauce for the chicken is AMAZING 🐔 Best best best Swiss restaurant! 🥳
An excellent house with a pleasant atmosphere and good service good food the only thing we struggled with was the barrier when going to the bathroom it's on the second floor the stairs are very steep. Not recommended for elderly and physically disabled people. After being informed by management that there was an internal elevator I apologize for the comment and thus being complete with the 5⭐A rating
The food could be excellent if you get past the rude staff. Never been spoken to by a “hospitality “ staff in this way ever. Do you have a menu in English? I asked. German he answered and walked away. Then threw 2 German menus on the table 5 minutes later with no comment. I assume the German speaking business is good and keeps you busy, because with your attitude you deserve no more.
Came here for a special dinner on a rare evening without our child. Food was average, prices a little too steep and service was borderline rude. It seemed like a hassle to them when we asked to sit in the dingy dining room - install some proper lights! - and one of the waiters told us: “You can only sit at the two-person tables!” Fair enough, you might think, but there was no one else in the room for the duration of our meal! Didn’t tip here and 95% of the time we do, which says it all. The two waiters made zero effort with us and simply seemed happy to just get rid of us.
