Great little shop, large selection of local farm produce.
I have been a loyal customer of this farm shop for over seven years and shopped there regularly. However, on my last visit, I was treated in a way that I find extremely disrespectful and discriminatory. While I was shopping with my son, we were conspicuously observed by an acquaintance of the owner. Apparently, we were considered "suspicious" simply because we didn't speak Swiss German. Shortly afterward, the owner stopped me as I was leaving the shop. I was asked to show the proof of payment on my phone and have my bags checked – something that, in my experience, local customers are not expected to do. This was a very humiliating situation for me and my son. To be treated this way after so many years of loyalty is disappointing. Trust is the foundation of a self-service farm shop – if this trust only applies to Swiss customers, then they clearly don't understand the principle of fairness. I will therefore not return. It's a shame that you are losing long-standing customers due to this kind of behavior. A special shout-out to the "attentive observer" who apparently provided the impetus for this experience. My conscience, however, doesn't allow me to award just one star – because the products are always of high quality. And out of respect for Mr. Elmiger, who knows us personally and has always treated us with great courtesy, my rating is higher.
