Weather spoiled our visit here. Thick fog, high winds, and rain made the ride up the mountain a huge disappointment. We had reserved our tickets in advance and were locked into an inflexible agenda. I suspect on a clear weather day this would be a great place to visit. The funicular and gondola were relatively smooth rides, although both gondolas we rode leaked a bit. If you have a good weather experience here, enjoy!
Good mountain to be visit near Interlaken west. Good view thun river
It also has amazing views of the Swiss Alps and the ones with alot of snow. Spectacular views and also you find it convenient to go up with the cable car or hike or cycles.
This should not be missed. We went by ferry and took the funicular. The views were spectacular from the lakeside and over the top and into the valley. You could also see Eiger and the adjacent mountains. A nice reasonably priced restaurant at the top. You can get there by car and bus
We had an amazing trip, but it was incredibly crowded and there was no parking space. I suggest arriving early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Despite the inconvenience, it was still a wonderful experience. We walked down and thoroughly recommend it.
Preferred access-point to the Beatenberg-Niederhorn-Gemmenalphorn area. Efficient operation offering multiple entry options (Beatenbucht, Beatenberg) for your area hike. Hospitality along the way. Can get busy. Limited parking available at either station; public transportation connects seamlessly.
