Dear Damaris The most wonderful family trip we have ever experienced I am writing this review as a father of two daughters and a husband, and quite honestly: this trip to Costa Rica was the best trip we have ever taken as a family. In the fall of 2024, I traveled with a small group for three weeks to beautiful Costa Rica. Both the itinerary and the program were well-thought-out and optimally selected, ensuring that both activities and relaxation were not neglected. The enormous diversity of flora and fauna often made my heart beat faster as a nature lover and amateur photographer. I was blessed with many positive impressions and wonderful encounters during the trip. Diego, our nature guide, was able to impart a wealth of valuable information thanks to his considerable knowledge. Only the long hike in rubber boots, in the extreme humidity and high temperatures, wasn't quite to my taste. However, the canoe tour in the early morning hours in the Maquenque lagoon remains my highlight of this trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the wildness of the untouched nature and the incredible silence. A true piece of paradise! All accommodations were clean and located in privileged surroundings, allowing me, as a guest, to enjoy the environment and biodiversity right outside my room door. It doesn't matter if you're woken up by howler monkeys before 5:00 a.m. A superbly organized trip with a strong emphasis on sustainable tourism. I found it very positive that the local population was directly supported and taken into account. This included visits to small family businesses, restaurants, boat trips, overnight stays in charming eco-lodges, etc. A big thank you to Iguana Reisen for the excellent organization and the support during the trip by Damaris and Megan Gloor. They made sure that my personal needs were met. I am very satisfied with the service provided by Iguana Reisen and can highly recommend the company.
