I had an extremely warm & nice conversation with a nice lady from customer service this morning.. ! I cannot quite agree with the many negative reviews here. I had a problem, and she was very professional, yet empathic to my situation! This is a GOOD agency, donโ€™t be blinded by some singular bad experiences, customers might overjudge!!! I think the ladyโ€™s name was Mrs.Ruch, or Rauch, unfortunately, I cannot really recall.., but she was incredibly helpful, and even had a distinctive, good sense of humour, I rarely meet anyone to get..! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Disproportionate power outage and very high fees (CHF 185) As a regular and solvent customer for several years, having always honored all my debit and other obligations, I suffered a power outage for a slightly overdue advance payment of CHF 123. This situation occurred even though, as I had communicated and certified by medical certificate, I was seriously ill during the period in question and unable to organize the usual administrative follow-up. Most of my payments were automated, and I had not been effectively informed of this specific advance payment. I received no prior warning or clear information regarding the scheduled intervention, and no announcement was made before the arrival of the appointed agents. During their visit, I perceived their behavior as closed, abrupt, and unwilling to engage in dialogue: the agents indicated that they "could not discuss," without allowing me to explain my reasons or present my medical certificate. The intervention took place in my building without me being informed in advance of the exact procedure, nor asked to find an immediate solution before the disconnection. However, I offered to immediately pay the deposit, as well as, subject to conditions, the disconnection fee of CHF 185โ€”an amount representing more than 150% of the initial sumโ€”in order to avoid a particularly problematic service interruption given my state of health. Despite this, the disconnection took place shortly afterward, while, as informed, I was searching for my means of payment and my medical certificate, without sending me any notice or warning. ESB's decision to subsequently maintain the disconnection and the CHF 185 fee, despite full payment and the production of a medical certificate, seemed incomprehensible and disproportionate to me, especially since the company acknowledged the inappropriate behavior of its agents. I was also asked for a CHF 250 deposit, which was then canceled after a credit check (with proof at my expense). This outage resulted in several days without electricity, food losses, very high unforeseen costs, and a negative impact on my health and daily life. I consider these practices to be contrary to the principle of proportionality and the duty of good faith. I acted at all times with transparency, goodwill, and respect, and I still await reimbursement of the outage costs and appropriate compensation, as well as a formal apology. I have referred the matter to the appropriate authorities so that this situation can be examined in a fair manner and that respect for customers and fundamental rights can be guaranteed in the management of a service as essential and a basic need as electricity.

Our lifeline in Biel/Bienne โ€“ day and night! How true: Nothing works here without electricity! For me, ESB is far more than just an energy supplier. It not only illuminates our nights and provides light and heat in our homes, but is also the invisible engine that drives our local industry. The reliable supply from ESB is the foundation of our daily lives and the economic strength of the region. Thank you for this indispensable service!

Whenever the meter reader comes, there's a brief interruption to the service. It wasn't reported a year ago, and it worked. Now it's happening again, so they had to do it again, hence the 7 hours.

Maintenance interruptions last several hours longer than communicated/agreed upon. I don't know how the ESB employees work in the office or go to the toilet, but we ordinary mortals need electricity and toilets flush with water.
