Yes, I personally encountered Mr. Gafur Mulali, the one-star reviewer. He's a very unpleasant fellow. The shop was packed that Saturday, and everyone is born with the same basic problem and only has two hands! I imagine that when you do as many repairs during the week as Bike Center Hegnau does, and then sell on Saturdays, they certainly prioritize their regular customers. It used to be that you get repaired where you bought it, and vice versa, but now it's all about getting the cheapest service online, and then expecting specialist retailers to jump through hoops on a Saturday! For me, people like that are simply unacceptable on a Saturday. My response would have been, "Please take it back to where you bought it for repair," or "We'll have time next week," as was offered to him. I give Bike Center Hegnau five stars because they truly live and breathe their craft and maintain it with professionalism.
The gears needed emergency repairs. No customer was there, the gentleman wasn't working on a bike, and he lamely turned me away. I'd have to make an appointment for a week later. On to Bike World, a friendly welcome, about 7 minutes of work, and the bike was perfect again.
I decided to buy a bike from a specialist shop and not "off the rack." It was the RIGHT DECISION. The Bike Center Hegnau team is FANTASTIC!! Very competent and friendly advice. I always felt well taken care of, and all my concerns were addressed AND understood. That's why I love my bike so much now. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Unfriendly and arrogant towards a long-time regular customer. I urgently needed a new rear tire. I wasn't able to change it within three days, even though I'm leading a planned group tour. Luckily, there's a friendly and understanding bike shop in Schwerzenbach.
