We hired Tom Dürst as the officiant for my late husband's funeral on October 24, 2025. Tom received the following feedback on November 2, 2025, and to this day has received neither a response nor a proper apology. The entire service cost CHF 1240. In my personal opinion, this is pure exploitation of grieving people. Ciao, Tom It took me a few days to collect myself and reflect after the four weeks between Mario's death and the funeral service... and also to gather some feedback... The welcome at your home was very warm and welcoming; we felt supported and grounded. Accordingly, we expected the same feeling from you for Mario's funeral. And I thought that's exactly what I had paid for... it was reflected in the reviews you presented on your website. The invoice corresponds to the price range you communicated. But honestly, I'm really disappointed with your performance and find it awful. At least in relation to what you charged. It was a funeral service, but the feeling was more like a speed-reading competition, and the main thing was to finish quickly... You kept stumbling over your words because you were speaking too fast. And you seriously asked in the middle of the service if it was okay to read the text in Bernese German? We spoke together on Monday beforehand... 5.5 hours of preparation? The fact that Mario and I have two dogs was a topic of conversation with you on Monday, and you talked about cats. Um, sorry, preparation? Your statement: I have an agno... If you're playing sound, the playlist should be correct and not accidentally skip to the previous track. The different volume levels are a whole other issue and subjective. You explained to us that you get up at 6 a.m. on the day in question and memorize everything so you don't have to read from a script... The whole thing was just skimmed through in about 35 minutes. No substance, no emotion? You just read our texts. From my perspective: clumsy. Feedback from your audience: more than amateurish. Didn't understand a thing. This so-called ritual facilitator should really stick to officiating funerals. Weak. Meager. Clumsy and sometimes poorly worded. Were there any follow-up questions from you before October 24, 2025? No. Sorry, Tom, the whole thing was just weak. Now, are you going to explain to me how you prepared for exactly 5.5 hours? With a maximum travel time of 40 minutes, you were also on-site for 3 hours. If I'm already paying €114/hour, or... I pay €1.90/min, so I expect a certain level of quality. I didn't receive it! That's my feedback to you. Regards, Timo
We "booked" Tom Dürst as our eulogist. He is personable, authentic, sensitive, and unique. As sad as funerals can be, Tom makes them special and even brings a smile to people's faces. Highly recommended!
A wonderful place. Every new exhibition is a surprise. The gallery's ambiance is unique. You receive a warm welcome and immediately feel at ease. The catering is top-notch! All this in a welcoming and friendly home, in a beautiful, mystical garden. Always worth a visit!
