I have a different idea of what professional property management should be. The way they work seems heavily focused on a single individual and is more reminiscent of a one-man show than a professionally run management company. Deadlines and organizational processes are not reliably adhered to, while at the same time there is plenty of room for self-promotion. On the other hand, I have largely missed transparent and constructive communication with the owners' association. In my experience, critical questions are often deflected, sometimes even via letters from lawyers instead of through direct dialogue. Anyone who wants to avoid unnecessary trouble should steer clear of this "management company."
