On September 25, 2025, I was driving my company car from Germany towards Switzerland. On the main road past Schaffhausen, heading towards Winterthur, a dump truck belonging to the Eckert company was driving in front of me. I was keeping a safe distance. The Eckert truck was loaded with stones. The tailgate of the rear tipper was only partially closed, and the tipper was clearly overloaded. A stone broke loose from the truck's load and caused a crack in the windshield of my company car. The windshield was damaged and had to be replaced later. My passenger also witnessed this. Due to the flow of traffic, I immediately contacted the company's fleet manager by phone. He said it was no problem: I should report the damage. The company's insurance would handle it. After several months and with the involvement of a lawyer, the damage has still not been settled by the company's insurance. The insurance company (for foreign damage claims) points out that I cannot prove the stone came from the vehicle in front. Despite my follow-up phone call, the company responded curtly, referring to the insurance company's statement and now denies any responsibility for settling my claim. This should serve as a lesson and demonstrates the business practices of Eckert eee. In my view, whoever causes damage must settle the claim and take responsibility for it.
Great company, Eckert handles all the logistics for our business. Top-notch logistics, solution-oriented and straightforward. "Got nöd gits nöd" (If it's not possible, it's not possible) 💪🏼👍🏼 …
On November 14, 2025, at approximately 2:40 PM, your truck number 6 overtook me between Seuzach and Unterohringen, as the third vehicle in a line, just before a curve. If the oncoming traffic hadn't swerved and braked hard, this could have been fatal. The driving style was absolutely appalling. Sincerely, a truck driver
They don't know any traffic rules. They simply ignore EVERYTHING. If you see an Eckert truck, watch out, it's going to rear-end you. Underestimating your speed can happen to anyone. But with the Eckerts, it's standard practice. I've experienced it myself countless times. Next time, I'll report them.
Drivers repeatedly ignore no-entry signs, even though the municipality has partially closed off the road for such ignorant drivers. The truck no-entry sign is prominently displayed on the barrier and is still ignored. Excellent advertising for a company – bravo.
Worst drivers in Schaffhausen-Winterthur!!!!! Always overloaded and without consideration
