Festively set up for the Elgg festival, for Elgg and with Elgg. Unfortunately, it was still too...
Chüngel and mashed potatoes with vegetables. It was superb. The butcher's shop was superb, the gnagi was outstanding.
Restaurant serving local dishes in generous portions at reasonable prices. The food is of good, fresh quality, and special requests regarding portion sizes are gladly accommodated – just ask. The owner doesn't cook anything she wouldn't eat herself, and the quality is correspondingly high; everything is freshly prepared. Simple but delicious Swiss country cuisine with seasonal highlights such as rabbit, traditional Swiss meat dishes, and game. Daily changing lunch menus at affordable prices. Many regular customers, and travelers are always welcome. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes for both large and small appetites. While it's not Michelin-starred cuisine, you'll leave Restaurant Obertor feeling more satisfied and happier than in many other restaurants. The expertly prepared desserts on Sundays are not to be missed. Closed Wednesdays and Thursdays.
A great Sunday lunch (mixed salad, pork tenderloin with fries and three kinds of vegetables) for the very fair price of CHF 25.50!!! Afterwards, a delicious cake/strawberry slice... ...we dropped by spontaneously and didn't know you, but we'll be back when we're in the area!
Lunch (pork steak with roast beef and vegetable bouillon) was very good. Dessert was also very good. They always have homemade bread slices for dessert on Sundays.
