When we accepted the apartment, only the caretaker was present. We had to pay the first rent in cash, even though there was no written agreement to this. Upon checkout, we were billed for damages that had already occurred, including the entire CHF 3,500 deposit. I've never experienced anything like this before. Of course, I deny liability for the damages.

My CHF 3500 deposit was withdrawn from the bank without my consent/signature, and they subsequently initiated debt collection proceedings against me. They refuse to drop the proceedings, even though they already took the money. Simply disrespectful and not recommended.
