From a fear of heights to jumping off a mountain in the Swiss Alps. (TL/DR: If you’re afraid of heights, I promise you that you can do this. But whether you’re afraid of heights or not, I would highly recommend this company. It will make your trip to Switzerland perfect!) My wife and I booked a trip to Switzerland for our ten year anniversary. I wanted to find something special and memorable to do on that trip, and for some reason paragliding stuck out as exciting. Now, understand, I’m terrified of heights. I don’t like looking over tall buildings, I never dream of skydiving, and get anxiety/sweaty palms/nausea at the sight of a roller coaster. Paragliding seemed achievable to me, if it was done under the right conditions. So I researched different companies in Lucerne and Interlaken, the two most highly recommended places to do this. I paid careful attention to safety details, experience, overall reviews, etc. After this I chose SkyGlide in Lucerne. Shortly after, I began reading blogs and posts about people paragliding who also had a fear of heights. One in particular helped tremendously, and at the end, she revealed that she had chosen the same company and for the same reasons! That solidified my decision. From a business perspective they were easy to work with and professional. They understood what we wanted and helped us plan. Payment was transparent and easy, upfront so that the day of your flight you don’t have to fuss with cable car payments and such. Plans for where to meet and how the day would go were clear. The pilots were polite, funny, and professional. Forget about why you’re doing this or how you feel about it, I would recommend this company without reservation. Of course I was anxious and nervous before the flight, but the pilots helped with that. Our pilots were Deni and Marion, they gave pointers on how to deal with the pre-flight anxiety. They also made takeoff quick and easy so I didn’t have time to worry! The flight was breath-taking. Absolutely gorgeous, they made it nice and smooth. You will read this elsewhere but there were no drips, no big G-forces, just gentle floating. Of course looking straight down still gave me some uneasy feelings, but somehow it was much less compared to how I felt with my feet on the ground at the top of the mountain! My wife and I both had a great flight with a smooth landing. In summary, even for someone afraid of heights, who hates roller coasters, and can’t imagine ever doing this, I promise you can do it. And regardless of how you feel about the flight, I would highly recommend SkyGlide for your trip!

Incredible experience! Dani was great and the view was incredible! Don’t let the fear of rain scare you. I saw another review with that same advice and I’m glad I didn’t panic and cancel! Perfect weather and perfect flight!

Such a wonderful experience! I always assumed this was a very difficult adventure and beyond my capabilities. After watching on Facebook a friend's young son do this, I knew I could do it as well. Even a 5 year old could paraglide! I was fearful of the landing but there was nothing to be concerned about at all. It was like landing on a pillow. The launch we chose was the view over Lake Lucerne and it was breathtaking! It certainly was the highlight to my day and 15 day vacation in Switzerland! You go to the top on a gondola. This gondola has very reasonable rates. The Swiss locals say this gondola is a "hidden gem" because unlike the other gondolas, they have a reasonable rate. Dani also works with them to get do the package price of the gondola and paragliding experience. Your friends can watch you and go to the top even if they don't want to go paragliding. We went with 7 friends that didn't paraglide. On the top, you can have a picnic with the sweet cows and their traditional cow bells that make charming tinkering sounds. While we were paragliding, our friends walked a little further and had drinks and food at a small restaurant. There are places to do a hike and explore. I'd make a full day here. Picnic, drinks, hike and then paragliding! I'd hire Dani's company again in a heartbeat! His assistant, Noah, was amazing, upbeat, and made my experience incredible. Like I said, my hard to impress 16 year old loved this life experience.
