Bought a pizza Margherita to-go. At home I was very disappointed. The cheese (if it was even real Mozzarella) was totally fried until it was just like a layer of plastic over the whole pizza. The dough was rubbery and didn't feel like a fresh crunchy pizza. Never again. Pizza in Restaurant Centro Schönbühl Luzern is still the best for me.
Decided to go to this restaurant on the recommendations of our hotel receptionist. Upon arrival we were asked if we had a reservation which we didn't. No problem says the server as he directs us to an open table. Within minutes we're given menus and instructions on the specials. Drinks are ordered and by the time they arrive we've made our choices. Our server quickly switched from Swiss German to English when he discovered my wife didn't speak the local tongue. Nice touch as she could now inquire into the menu options. The food was delicious, service great and the decor upscale. It was a bit noisy but that is to be expected when the place was nearly full (reservations probably a good idea). Highly recommend this establishment if you're in the area.
