In November and December 2024, we had our kitchen renovated and modernized by the company Hurni & Sohn. The project managers were Patrick Perny and Alex Hurni. We found their consultation, planning, and quotation process to be highly competent and helpful. The three-week renovation phase was meticulously planned, and Patrick Perny always scheduled the tradespeople in a timely manner, ensuring there were no delays. Markus Mäder installed the new kitchen with the utmost care and precision. The schedule and budget were adhered to exactly. We are delighted with our new kitchen and very satisfied with the services provided by Hurni & Sohn. We highly recommend this company.
The work was carried out well (4.5 stars). The best thing to do is to get written confirmation every day of who was on site, for how long, and what work was performed. The invoice and the statement of account (0 stars): Questions were never answered, and the statement of account was never checked. The quote was exceeded by almost 25% for no apparent reason. Why don't the hours in the reports match the invoice? Why are there jobs on the invoice that were never done? Why is a (small) discount added to the invoice instead of subtracted? The fact that this wasn't noticed proves that everything else was never clarified either. Why are 5-6 hours recorded when only 3-4 hours of work were actually done on site? Why didn't two people who were on site with the same car record the same working hours? Why is travel time for one car with two people billed twice? How can 11 m² of parquet flooring take 15 hours to sand? 1.5 hours per m²? This many hours were billed. Why did the second room, exactly the same size, take more than 50% less time? Why does installing baseboards in one room take 7.75 hours? All these questions and more remain unanswered to this day. A sad state of affairs.
The cider mill is simply fantastic, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They processed our apples into delicious apple juice in no time at all. Thank you for the great work.
