Restaurant with the best view in the area overlooking Walensee! Amazing place for your family to enjoy lunch and drink during your hike (or you can save some steps by hopping on the chair lift that stops right next to the restaurant ; -)). There's a nice playground for your kids to entertain themselves while you're having a moment for yourselves on the terrace. The restaurant offers a variety of drinks and local food specialties to choose from. If you prefer, you can use the outside grilling point. The staff is very nice and helpful. If you want to experience an adventure, you can rent a kickbike, enjoy the ride down the hill and be back by the lake in 20mins. It seems there are winter options like sledging as well. Definitely recommend a visit, if you're in the area!
Ideal for a one day excursion. Just 1 hour from Zürich. Easy to find chair lift. Large parking . The cost is 5 CHF for a day. The chair lift takes you in 15-20minutes up the mountain. Many options to do once up in the mountain. The best one is to hike to talalpsee - an amazingly beautiful lake . There is also the option to rent a Trotti and drive down the mountain - approximately 7km. Totally recommended for a one day trip. Very friendly for kids and families

Super fun sledging. You can go up with the cable car and then sled all the way down. You can rent a sleigh, which is what most people do, so no worries.
