I've just submitted a classic case to the consumer affairs program "Kassensturz" regarding false promises made during a boiler descaling promotion. Beware of these promotions. The report will be published in 4-6 weeks.
Now I'd like to share my negative experiences, as my email correspondence with the responsible person was understandably not posted here by BREVAG. During the second-to-last boiler descaling, my request to be present was ignored, so the descaling was carried out again in my presence. My wife was present during the last descaling. When I checked the anode indicator, there was no reaction. Since I also work with electrical appliances as a service technician, I carefully removed the front cover and discovered that an incompetent boiler technician had improperly opened the cover, damaging the display and its cable connections, and simply left it as is. After my frustrated email to the manager, I received only the response that it wasn't the newest boiler and such things can break, and he defended the employee. An apology would have sufficed, as I glued the display housing back together myself and had clearly put in the necessary effort. After my experience, I'd rather not use BREVAG again.
Thank you very much - Mr. Blazevic was very friendly and professionally descaled the boiler and left the work area very clean (unfortunately not a given).
The service technician was nice. I was advised to buy a new boiler as soon as possible, as the old one was rusted through. However, they installed new parts worth 140 francs, which I now have to throw away along with the rusted-through boiler. I don't like that at all.
Always a pleasure... Service on the wood-burning stove, glass replacement and seal changes – prompt and efficient. Delivery of the materials took over 6 months. This was not Brevag's fault. All the best to the team.
