I noticed that the airport parking in Zurich has new elevators from this company. You stand in the hallway in front of 4 or 6 elevators and choose the floor you want to go to, so far so good, the system tells you elevator A will go to that floor, elevator A arrives people start getting into it and it gets full, other people choose other floors and since elevator A is available in the current floor the system tells you to take elevator A for the new selected floors, problem is that the elevator A is already full and not moving since is waiting for the new people to enter, so in theory new people arriving have to wait until the elevator A doors are closed so another elevator is offered but people do not wait and keep selecting their floor choice and the system tells them to go to an already full elevator...why not include the current weight of the elevator in order for the system to consider assigning other elevators new travellers?
Super!!!
I have to agree with the other comments. Poor quality and an above-average number of breakdowns lead to very poor reliability. Try to avoid the elevators. It used to be much better; I don't know how anyone could drive a company like that into the ground.
Highest-quality elevators! Custom and handmade in Switzerland. The elevator manufacturer from Bern with top design and quality.
The apartment building at Eigerstrasse 73 was equipped with two Emch electric vehicle lifts during last year's renovation. Since then, we residents have experienced a (no exaggeration!) high double-digit number of breakdowns of parts or the entire system. Numerous repair attempts have been made, essential components (control unit, motor, etc.) have been replaced, and improvements have been promised – all to no avail. Last week, several people were stranded, and this wasn't the first time. The lack of quality improvement and the helpless technicians who too often have to deal with the technical shortcomings of this new system on-site are highly questionable and, in my opinion, cast a dubious light on Emch, a company otherwise known primarily for its custom-made, high-quality products.
From my own experience, I have doubts about the quality of Emch elevators. Our apartment building in Bern has Emch elevators. The Emch elevators are out of service about once a month, and a resident is always stuck in the elevator. For some time now, Emch simply hasn't been able to get the problems under control. In my opinion, it's a completely unsatisfactory product.
