Wheel cleaner from Jumbo has eaten away at the paint on all four rims. I used it according to the instructions on the product, but it still destroyed the paint. Fripoo opened an insurance claim, which has now been closed because, according to liability law, Fripoo apparently isn't directly responsible for the damage. Furthermore, these know-it-alls claim it "doesn't contain acids or strong solvents"... Right, how come the product can eat away at the clear coat and other layers? Great, now I have damaged rims and no one who feels responsible. :) Update from June 25, 2024: Fripoo did indeed take responsibility, but only after lengthy discussions. The rims were repainted at the expense of their business liability insurance, but only 75% of the costs were covered. In addition, I had to remove the wheels myself, take them to the painter of my choice, reinstall them on the car myself, and also pay a difference (25% due to general wear and tear). No apology was ever offered, and the products are still sitting at Jumbo without proper labeling! NOT FOR PAINTED RIMS :)
We're sorry you had a bad experience. However, we generally don't have a staffed shop for in-store purchases, but we're happy to assist you via email or our webshop.
