Ended up hiking from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen on the way back from Trummalbach Falls. Views are incredible though path can be a bit slippery and steep at times. Tree coverage is nice so you don’t have to worry much about the heat. Would definitely recommend if you want a moderately challenging hike.
Wengen View Point, located in the car-free alpine village of Wengen in the Bernese Oberland, offers some of the most stunning vistas in Switzerland. Perched above the Lauterbrunnen Valley at around 1,274 meters, the viewpoint provides breathtaking panoramas of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks, as well as the dramatic cliffs and waterfalls of the valley below. Easily accessible by train from Lauterbrunnen, Wengen’s viewpoint is a favourite for hikers, photographers, and nature lovers. The peaceful, traffic-free setting enhances the experience, allowing visitors to fully soak in the majestic alpine scenery. Fantastic viewpoint overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley - also known as the valley of 72 waterfalls. The view stretches all the way across the cliffs and meadows below, with Staubbach Falls clearly visible. Easily accessible from Wengen, and one of the best spots for photos, especially during golden hour. A must-see stop if you are visiting the area.
An absolutely stunning, panoramic view of the Lauterbrunnen Valley and the majestic surrounding mountains! This viewpoint is a definite highlight in Wengen and comes highly recommended. To find this incredible vista, take the pedestrian path adjacent to the church, and you’ll soon see the beautiful landscape peeking through an opening in the wall. A single bench offers the perfect spot to rest and soak in the breathtaking scenery.

The town is charming and worth a visit, with shops lining the streets. The clock tower is located in the church area and offers a view of the lake, although unfortunately we were unable to see it due to heavy fog. Please exercise caution when walking in the town, as electric cars occasionally pass through.
