We went to the tourist office to ask about some hikes around Habkern and we couldn't be happier with the results. They informed us about hikes around Habkern, gave us maps and recommended us the Lombachalp area for hiking and its restaurant. We followed their recommendations and it ended up being one of our favourite days in our Switzerland adventure.
It seems guests aren't welcome here. The new parking fees are not only deterring visitors but also making life difficult for local businesses. Even if you just want to grab a coffee, you have to pay a minimum fee of €15. These fees are payable 24/7, and there's no option to pay with a parking app. So remember to bring €15 in coins with you next time you visit Habkern. We certainly won't be coming back; even other cities are more reasonable!
