I think the Albisbrunn Foundation is a very good institution. I was here for three and a half years and thought it was great. However, I know that a home isn't nice, so I left here with a completed EFZ apprenticeship and developed really well. My parents are very proud of me, and so am I. The staff are very polite and the atmosphere is always good. However, there is some friction between people, but that's normal. The Albisbrunn Foundation also has a culture wheel that has a huge impact on the lives of teenagers and young adults. Very good topics are discussed in the culture wheel, and those on the culture wheel help new arrivals integrate into the home.

When I first came to the juvenile detention center, there were punishments and also disciplinary action. That's been lost in the last few years, which I personally find very regrettable. Of course, every person is different and you have to treat everyone differently. But you can't achieve your goal with "soft pedagogy" with everyone, because sometimes you simply have to take decisive action. All in all, I'm glad that I was able to complete my apprenticeship, but I don't know if I would go back to the juvenile detention center... You can't really say anything negative about the whole operation.
