Strozzi's Strandhaus — Seestrasse 146, 8704 Herrliberg, Switzerland

We visited Strozzis Strandhaus today as a birthday treat for my girlfriend and it was truly special. The place feels very romantic, and the outdoor area is beautifully set up. The meat platter and truffle fondue were delicious, and the Toblerone mousse was the perfect finish. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. And as a lovely surprise my girlfriend even received a birthday cake. I can highly recommend this restaurant!

The perfect Sunday dinner experience! We visited Strozzi’s for their winter Fondue Chalet and it was magic. The restaurant is transformed into a cozy alpine dream with sheepskins and candlelight, right on the shore of Lake Zurich. The fondue itself was incredible—rich, creamy, and served with high-quality bread. What truly made the evening was the service; even on a busy Sunday night, the staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel like family. Was recommended this spot by a friend who traveled here before us. While you had to travel a bit from the center of Zurich to dine here, this restaurant offers beautiful views of the lake. To be honest, we didn’t really enjoy their pastas (one fishy, the other bland) or tiramisu, but the pizza was delicious. Very fresh and my fiancée can’t stop raving about it. The service wasn’t the best, as they didn’t pay much attention to us and cared for the larger tables more. I don’t know if I’d return given the plethora of dining options within Zurich.

We had a great time celebrating my husband’s birthday at Strozzi’s! The staff was super welcoming and kind, and they made sure to be mindful of all my dietary restrictions as someone who is both gluten free and pregnant. They had absolutely delicious homemade pasta that was also available gluten free. We even got a nice little birthday treat from the staff for my husband. Plus, the atmosphere was really beautiful with a great view of the lake. We’ll be back!
