For many years, we and our two children, as well as myself, have been patients of Dr. Sokol. We always feel we are in excellent hands. The treatments are professional, calm, and clearly explained, and his interaction with children is simply wonderful. A practice you can truly trust – and one you can wholeheartedly recommend.
I had an extremely distressing experience at this clinic. I brought my 7-year-old daughter for a check-up, and instead of receiving treatment, we were met with open hostility. Dr. Sokol spoke to us in a deeply unprofessional and aggressive manner. His comments were specifically directed at Ukrainians and Ukrainian refugees. He told us we should leave the country and that we had no rights here. Hearing this as a parent, with my child standing next to me, was shocking and humiliating. The situation escalated further when he said he would not treat my daughter and told us to leave the clinic. Being thrown out like this, especially with a young child who needed medical attention, was both heartbreaking and unacceptable. This experience left me feeling insecure, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. No family should be treated this way in a medical facility, and no child should be denied treatment because of their origin. I cannot recommend this practice and would strongly warn others to be careful.
I am absolutely satisfied with the treatment at pro Dente! The team is very friendly and competent. I always feel very well cared for and can highly recommend Ivan Sokol and his entire team!
Dr. Sokol behaved extremely inappropriately towards my child, me, and our nationality. He repeatedly spoke about ethnic differences and the dental health of native children versus children of immigrants. He also made derogatory remarks about dentists from other countries at other Swiss clinics. During our last appointment, he cleaned my child's fingernails with a dental instrument, which greatly alarmed me. I asked him if he had disinfected the instruments before the treatment. He responded, "Go back to your home country and let your 'best dentists' treat you there," and rudely asked me and my child to leave the practice. In his opinion, I have no right to question the quality of his work or his Russian diploma because, as he said, "This is Swiss dentistry—it's not Ukrainian!"
