Restaurant Frohsinn — Stadlerstrasse 2, 8182 Hochfelden, Switzerland

Just an average restaurant. Service is pleasant but the food is lacking. Salad was lacking quality ingredients (iceberg lettuce and hothouse tomatoes). The main course (named after the restaurant) did not have much flavor although the rice in it was properly cooked. The red wines by the glass were nice. Based on the reviews, I was expecting something much better.

Excellent food in an unexpected location! Behind a well-maintained, unassuming facade lies a culinary gem that's no longer a secret. Frohsinn is a popular spot, especially on weekends. The service is professional and efficient, though it can get a bit busy during peak hours or when large groups arrive, but this doesn't detract from the overall experience! The pasta dishes are a real insider tip, but the meat dishes are also excellent. The value for money is outstanding, including the wine selection. We'll definitely be back; the menu has plenty more that interests us!
