Sirius Art Construction GmbH — Oberdorfstrasse 76, 8810 Horgen, Switzerland

We hired Sirius Art Construction GmbH for what had been presented to us as a three-month renovation project in our house. Around 16 months later, the project remained unfinished and has resulted in substantial additional costs required to correct the work that had been carried out in addition to other issues caused. During all this period, repeated reminders for completion of the project failed to result in meaningful progress. After 16 months feeling like living in a construction site, we decided to terminate the contractual relationship, as there was still no realistic prospect of completion. The condition in which the renovation was left includes the main following issues: • A shower installation that floods the adjacent room during normal use and leaves a permanent puddle of water that does not drain. The shower floor was designed with insufficient inclination, causing water to accumulate instead of flowing toward the drain. Consequently, the shower cannot be used. • Kitchen plumbing under the sink that caused a significant leak. • Kitchen cabinets that are noticeably misaligned, along with a marble countertop that became increasingly misaligned and separated after attempts by Sirius Art at correction. • Damage to existing property, including a V-ZUG cooktop and wall damaged during a TV installation. • Stains embedded in freshly painted walls for new room and a defective, not-intended grainy paint texture, requiring full sanding and repainting. • Electrical installations in the bathroom and kitchen carried out without the required certification. Sirius Art Construction GmbH has not been prepared to acknowledge our concerns regarding all these issues or respond to our demands. As a consequence, we are currently in a legal controversy in connection with this renovation.
