I was encountering a problem with my Canon iPF PRO-1000 imagePROGRAF and called the support. After explaining my problem and sending a screenshot (the colors in the print preview were totaly of from the ones in the picture in lightroom and so was the print in the end) I was told to wait for a contact E-Mail in the following two days. I received an E-Mail that told me "Sorry but that's not a printer issue. Please contact Adobe". At that point I have already solved the issue myself. I've found a video from 2020 that told me to not set up the ICC paper profiles via Lightroom but rather in the printer itself. So the issue is in the communication between the printer and lightroom. (the issue is in that way a problem from both sides) I called Canon support to tell them how I've fixed the issue in case this is an issue they encounter more often (which I think might be quite likely). But the support just cut me short. "So your issue is fixed? OK so I can close the case now. Have a nice day." Yeah great customer service.

I bought a Canon Pixma printer a week ago, installed it, and discovered that the scan function has a very annoying problem. The printer now needs to be sent somewhere for repair, a device that costs €49. It's funny that Canon's emails point out the CO2 emissions. I really need this scan function right now, with various tax documents. I can't wait weeks for a repair. That's not what I call customer-friendly. The printer is going in the trash – I'll buy a new one, definitely not another Canon!

Printer malfunctioned after one month due to a paper jam. I had it repaired under warranty. Even sending it in was a nightmare. The printer came back with empty ink cartridges and a full service cartridge. Canon's service is terrible and amateurish.

Today I had the brilliant idea of personally taking my broken Canon binoculars to Canon Switzerland AG at 'Ittigen, Ey 25' 🙈 According to Google Maps, they're open from 1:30 PM…🙈 The address and directions were fine, but the phone number and website are apparently in Wallisellen…🙈 At this address, I only found a poorly labeled doorbell and pressed it… no response 🤷🏼 The friendly (at least) lady (working from home) tried to forward my call, but after a 15-minute wait, I'd had enough of Canon's customer service for the time being…😡 I guess I'll have to send my relatively expensive binoculars by mail to who-knows-where, maybe even to Germany or something 🙈

Unbelievable: My Canon printer has six ink cartridges, two black and one gray. When I tried to print something today, I got an error message: Because only the gray cartridge (!) is empty, nothing works at all – total standstill! That can't be right! I couldn't even access the menu to check the ink levels of the other cartridges – nothing. Every other printer can print shades of gray with black ink, only this one can't. Now I had to drive all the way into town to buy an overpriced little gray cartridge for 20 Swiss francs, only to find out that two other cartridges are almost empty again – and that's despite the fact I hardly ever use the Canon. I have the feeling the ink is evaporating from the cartridges. A money-making scheme! My advice: Don't buy a Canon printer – you'll just have constant trouble with them ;) I'm fed up and I'm buying a laser printer now, but definitely not a Canon!

Canon is among the best professional MFC systems currently available on the market. Those responsible for architectural firms and advertising agencies should visit the Canon showroom to see for themselves.
