Dear GSD, Yesterday, while traveling from France to the Czech Republic, I stopped at the A1 Raststätte Süd rest area, 3063 Ittigen. According to my GPS navigation, I spent just under 8 minutes in the parking lot, during which I bought a coffee at the gas station. During that short time, an employee of GSD Gayret Security AG issued me a fine of 40 CHF for not displaying a parking disc. This man had been watching me from the moment I stopped and left the car. He didn’t say a single word—he simply placed the ticket under the windshield wiper. I understand that ignorance of the law is no excuse, but I would expect that in a modern Western society, law enforcement would not operate through predatory tactics. This GSD employee was clearly just waiting for unsuspecting drivers so he could issue as many fines as possible. Do you consider such behavior moral? I wouldn't hesitate to call it tourist scamming. I am a law-abiding person, but this conduct genuinely upset me. This is nothing but a trap—one that undoubtedly catches many passing drivers. Are you pleased with the money gained through such deceitful means? You should be ashamed of such actions. I would have expected that Swiss society would operate in a different, more honorable manner. Shame on you!
I received a parking ticket and paid it. Several months later, I received a penalty order from the public prosecutor's office, claiming the ticket hadn't been paid. Despite having bank proof of payment, GSD filed an objection and continued to demand payment. The public prosecutor's office dropped the case because I was able to prove I had paid – a very unscrupulous company.
Why is your company called "Gayret"? There's absolutely no effort or hard work involved – "Haram" would be more fitting! Zero goodwill, not even after submitting the receipt. They even set the parking disc – but they'll only provide photographic evidence if legal action is initiated – nobody's going to file a lawsuit for €50… this is how you rip everyone off!
Top-notch customer service – if you like trouble Imagine receiving an incorrectly issued parking ticket and thinking, "No problem, I'll sort it out quickly." Well, not at GSD Gayret Security AG! They consistently stick to their mistakes – probably as a matter of principle. Goodwill? None. If injustice could be monetized, they'd have found the perfect business model.
The company makes a very unprofessional impression to me. I found it very disappointing. I received a ticket and wanted to pay it online on time as intended, but the payment system simply doesn't work. Despite repeated attempts, the ticket cannot be found. Instead of the law enforcement agency providing a functioning, simple payment system, I now have to invest time and inquire specifically to even get a way to pay. If I'm going to get a ticket, I at least expect the process to be professional and reliable. Unfortunately, the whole thing seems disorganized and not very customer-oriented. Additionally, in my case, I even had a valid military exemption permit, which was simply forgotten to be affixed or dropped in the rush. Despite subsequent clarification and proof of authorization, the company showed no understanding. I find it extremely incomprehensible and disappointing that even people who are actively serving their country are financially penalized in this way, despite having a valid permit to park there.
This company is an absolute disaster! They issue parking tickets even when all the rules have been followed. And the local council actually works with this kind of place! 🤣 …
