The Jungfraujoch train station at the top of Europe is impeccably clean, well‑organized, and efficient. The signage is clear, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Your arrival feels seamless as you disembark into high‑altitude wonder—truly a top‑notch gateway.
This place has a gorgeous view of the mountains from the building up top. Breathtaking! But the ride up was mostly in a tunnel with views of rock. We were so excited to be at the top and experience such beauty (especially after paying so much money). This was really not what we expected. It was so overcrowded that it was almost impossible to get a decent viewing area. There were so many tour groups that there was nowhere to sit for a coffee and just take it all in. We couldn’t reach any of the activities, restaurants etc etc. The train return boarding area is a nightmare. No staff monitoring the area. Crowds of people swarmed when the train doors opened. I was literally shoved into the steps and one leg pushed underneath. I finally had no option but to shove this person off of me to avoid serious damage to my leg. This should never happen. It’s really easy to form a single line to board trains especially with being monitored. Maybe this should be considered. We do not regret going up the mountain as it truly is a spectacular site to see but will we do it again? Absolutely not! Due to the poor management and monitoring of the crowds.
Great place. Highest point in Europe 🌍. Temperature is in minus so I suggest wearing winter jacket, warm lower , gloves and socks . Take ride by both train and cable car. Eating options above are very few and expensive so take your own packed food and energy drinks . …
This is a good place to come with easy cable car/tram , but still very expensive though. my advice is to check weather and dont buy the ticket in advance.
This train ride up to peak is wonderful and life time dream experience. You have take a Meter gauge train (green an yellow colour} and change it with another (Red collour ) at higher altitude The entire track say passes through a tunnel to the summit at under ground station Once you reach there only white ice cover with some grey shades every where The "tour" takes you you to various places like tunnel walk in ice ,The canteen, The souvenior shops the terrace platform the open area with different sports and rides All is enjoable
