This was a huge disappoint. We were expecting a 14km 'worlds longest' sled/toboggan, and got nothing more than a 1-2km walk/ride along an incredibly boring and flat run where we had to walk more than we sledded. Not only that but we had to share the narrow run with Skiiers and snowboarders who were abusing us as they passed because we were going so slow. The sales person said we would be going for 30 minutes but this simply was not the case. 10 minutes with 8 minutes pushing the sled was more accurate. After the first disastrous run we returned the sleds for a full or even partial refund and the aggressive sales person and manager said it was our fault and there would be no refund. We paid CHF$20 x 2 = CHF$40 (about AUD$75) for one of the worst experiences of our lives. Note to people wanting to sled at this establishment: 1. Check to see what runs are operating. We got one below standard run with the other option being a highly advanced run that my beginner wife could not do. 2. Go somewhere else and give another sled company your business.

I had issues with skis that I had rented elsewhere. They listened to my issues, took them seriously and suggested a solution that worked perfectly for me. Now it feels like skiing again. Very competent and fast - saved my skiday

Wyss Sport & Souvenirs at Kleine Scheidegg is a convenient stop for gear and keepsakes! Friendly staff, good selection of hiking essentials and fun souvenirs. Prices are a bit premium but matched by the alpine setting—great for last-minute buys.

Was solo hiking and remember coming here and asking if it was possible to rent some ski’s, said I had never ski’d before. Guy working there looked at me like I was an idiot, and proceeded to say I needed ski lessons, and that I should come earlier. I then enquired again as I never ski’d before if I could rent them, and it was my last day there, he then smirked in a condescending way and said “You can rent them but you won’t be able to ski, you need lessons” Sure I get the message, but you can be a bit more friendly.

Whenever I see anyone go skiing I think I can do it but when I did it turned out funny like this. Thanks for the loan of the ski equipment.

We rented via ferrata equipment from Wyss Sport for the Eiger Rotstock. They shared a shortcut route that goes past a lake and has views into the Grindelwald valley. The whole hike and via ferrata took us 6 hours with plenty of time for photos and picnicking. I highly recommend doing it if you are a strong hiker and can handle some heights.
