Swiss air has always been a favorite to fly with. Staff are friendly, and always serving customers. From small chocolates when you arrive in Switzerland, to nice meals with wine 🍷, Swiss air offers a very fair flight price with service that is better than most airlines. Thanks for offering such great flights!
Extremely frustrating experience, primarily due to broken seat-selection systems and misleading fees. Swiss charges extra to select seats, but even after paying, their system repeatedly failed to actually reserve them. We attempted seat selection around six times. Each time, the website confirmed success, the credit card showed a pending charge, and then days later both the app and website reverted back to “Reserve seats”—as if nothing had been booked. This cycle repeated over and over. We contacted customer service multiple times via phone and chat. Each time, the representatives assured us that “this time it’s fixed”. Unfortunately, the same issue kept happening again, indicating a systemic backend failure rather than a one-off glitch. The onboard experience didn’t help. The seats are extremely narrow with minimal back padding, making the flight uncomfortable even for an average-sized adult. For a long-haul or international carrier, this is well below expectations. The only positive was the cabin and ground staff—polite, professional, and genuinely helpful, clearly doing their best within a broken system. Between the unreliable seat-reservation process, added fees that don’t deliver what’s promised, and poor seat comfort, this was an airline experience I would actively avoid in the future, even if the fare were significantly discounted.
4/22/2025: Really enjoyed the business class flight from NRT to ZRH. The single seat booth was spacious and there were plenty of small closets for securing personal items which was awesome. Although the flight was 14 hours long, the quality of meals, snacks and services were impeccable so I didn’t mind the long flight. The bathroom was 2 at the each side so no needed to wait. Overall it was one of the best business class flight experiences 4/23/2025: Next day flight ZRH to YUL Business class was tiny and everything was outdated. They didn’t provide slippers either. Meals were super salty and not tasty I will avoid this flight in the future
I find it truly unacceptable that your airline claims to be high-quality and yet has no consideration for families. We must pay higher costs ten most to fly every member of the family as well as possible change fees that must be done multiple times over to accommodate a full family. And at the very basic, you do not even offer family seating complementary. Most airlines have this as a basic offer. You do not. Do better.
This airline deserves no stars absolutely. The service is terrible and customer service after the flight is non-existent. They rob passengers belongings from the checked in baggage. BEWARE!! Swiss Air does not have the Swiss reputable efficiency, professionalism nor accuracy. Never fly this airline if you want your baggage to be safe and not be robbed. They will break open the locks on your suitcase and steal your belongings and then when you put up a claim they will take more than 2 months to review and then say your documentation is not up to their guidelines!! Simply frustrating and irresponsible.
They cancelled my flight to DC, after making people wait in the airplane 3 hours without any food! They rebooked me two days later while offering better options to some of my colleagues. This cost me time, missed work opportunities , meetings with colleagues,conference fee, hotel, fee, etc. I expect a full refund of all these costs! Never more a German Lufthansa-United managed air company. The worst ever. I have just asked for refund in the Swiss air Chat because of a cancelled flight. They answer that I bought it through an agency (Expedia) and they do not want to given refund. Is this even legal?
