Truly one of the most well preserved Castle. Walkable from Winterthur train station on a good day but keep in mind a steep hike in the end. The walking trail is so beautiful. The garden is small but well curated. Unlike other Castles everything in here is so accessible and touchable. Loads of activities to enjoy. Kids would definitely love the experience. You can take a bus back to the train station from a bus stop just outside the castle.
Nice, audio tour in English was good. Lots of rooms to explore. Not very busy which was even better
Unbelievable natural and man-made beauty. Full of history. Truly enjoyed
Wonderful place, brings back medieval times.
We visited the castle as part of the 26 Summits hike. We had a lovely snack lunch there. Nice and interesting garden they have. Absolutely family friendly.
I liked the castle in general. I'm not sure if it's really worth it's price of 12 CHF but I do not regret visiting it. It's not big but there were not too many people. However, there were no English translation. They have a TV where you can listen about the castle in English (+German, Italian, French) but that's all. No English translation for the items description, so it was a little bit boring to wander in rooms and have no idea what it's all about those labels.
