Customer service is beyond terrible. I've submitted a withdrawal for €60k. They've processed the withdrawal and locked the money for two days and updated the transfer date for two days in the future - a SEPA transfer, which is supposed to be instant. Won't let me cancel the withdrawal. Marked the issue as urgent, called them 5 times and no solution from their side. Gross misconduct and incompetence so that they can take advantage of their client's money for a few days.
Stiff and bureaucratic For years my company’s IB account directly paid dividends to my private account. Now they stopped it claiming anti money laundering laws. I argued they should never have let my company sign up my private account in the first place. Their answer: true, but they did not pick it up at that time... I argued they let this happen all these years, what about their internal controls. Answer: true, but this time the payment was subject to a manual control and thus got picked up. I argued this is all their internal processes’ fault and leaves their customer of many years stranded until my company has managed to open a bank account, which takes at least 10 days. Answer: sorry, nothing they can do… I like IB because they provide good value for money but I recommend to have an another broker as backup and money on the side for hiccups and delays beyond one’s control.

Terrible service. I have successfully completed the yearly compliance review and a month later my deposits are blocked pending another compliance review. A week of back and forth with useless customers care telling me to wait for feedback in an open ticket. My funds are stuck somewhere in transit.
Customer service is very bureaucratic and seems to have little concern for the customer. It has been a month since I opened a ticket about an issue with my account, yet the problem remains unresolved, leaving me unable to carry out any trades.
All in all not bad. They have good systems but strange software problems from time to time. They are very relaxed with customer service. Locked me out of my account and I could not reach them for many hours. Service hours are not as advertised. Lost around 20 000 by not being able to close positions. 1 Star for this.
