HUH offers holiday homes through Airbnb and Interhome. On the Interhome website, they offered several apartments at a good price, so we decided to book one for our holiday/business trip to Switzerland. A few hours later, someone from HUH Real Estate called me and told me there was an error in their system and the prices on the Interhome website wouldn't be correct. Strange, because I also saw the same prices for the same property on Airbnb. She said she would work with Interhome to find a solution. However, a few hours later, I received an email from Interhome with a booking confirmation and a travel voucher for the booked property, so I assumed everything would be sorted out. Because my girlfriend wasn't feeling well and we had to go to Switzerland the following week, I decided to call Interhome again on Monday morning after the weekend. I was spoken to in Dutch; according to the call center representative, the booking was confirmed in the system and there was nothing to worry about. But just to be sure, he wanted to double-check with his Swiss colleagues. Towards the end of the afternoon, I received a call from an English-speaking call center representative from Interhome, telling me that the prices were incorrect and that she had canceled the booking. She offered me two options: pay the additional charge, or receive a free refund. Neither option sounded particularly customer-friendly to me. I told her what the additional charge would be, and since she couldn't see it immediately, she would look into it and call me back within an hour. This didn't happen, so after three hours, I contacted Interhome again. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes, I spoke to an English-speaking representative again, who said she couldn't help me and that she should try again tomorrow. I must say I'm extremely disappointed with the service provided by HUH Immobilien and Interhome. First, I had to call them myself to find out that the property had been canceled. Had I not done this, I would have arrived in Switzerland after a 10-hour drive, only to discover the booking had been canceled. Secondly, the solutions offered were completely unfriendly to customers: paying extra or getting a free refund. Firstly, getting a free refund? Paying extra due to a mistake they made? Incorrect prices are always possible, but these prices were on the website for almost three days. I would expect a company like Interhome to resolve this very quickly. Furthermore, I can't imagine a situation where I wouldn't get a free refund; after all, I'm not getting what I paid for. Thirdly, they made me wait, meaning I only have three days before my desired delivery date to know whether or not I can expect anything from Interhome. And then it's still unclear how long it will take for my money to be returned to my account. In addition, I received this simple email as an apology from HUH, which is truly unbelievable: We have received the definitive cancellation of your booking from Interhome. All further requests were immediately processed by Interhome. We would like to apologize for these unforeseen circumstances. For any questions, we will gladly contact you. All in all, this was one booking for me with HUH Immobilien and Interhome, and never again. I therefore advise everyone against booking anything from them; there are better alternatives online. They couldn't refund my deposit immediately and had to come back after the weekend to discuss this. It's strange, not being able to deliver what I booked and then making a fuss about getting a refund. For me, once and never again an apartment from HUH Immobilien. What a worthless organization!
