The lanterns themselves are truly beautiful; we enthusiastically bought several of them almost two years ago. BUT: the "panel" used (the lighting module, the one with two LEDs as a color temperature variant and with an additional USB charging option) is, in my opinion, cheap Chinese junk. In one case, the LED turns on during daylight and goes out at dusk. The lantern was never left outside exposed to the elements; the problem is clearly the extremely simple electronics. Unusable! The Swiss retailer charges around 25 Swiss francs plus shipping for an identical replacement module. Sad but true.
They have really nice solar lights for outdoors. Unfortunately, the white ones rust very quickly – okay, they look antique – and the solar panel breaks. I've already had to replace two within a very short period of time. They look like they're calcified from (rain)water, but they can't be cleaned anymore; there's no way to fix it. So, they don't light up anymore. It's a shame about the poor quality.
The solar lights "Made in China," sold by STT AG as "made in Switzerland," are a complete quality disaster! The one-year warranty was not honored. In short: We will never buy anything from them again! Disgusting!
All my Christmas lights are from STT. I'm extremely satisfied. When something broke, they replaced everything free of charge. Excellent service. Thank you.
Customer-friendly service! The power supply for our LED globe light and the solar module for a lantern were defective. The seller (Gartencenter Wyss) gave me their address (STT Lohn/Ammannsegg) and contacted them immediately. To my surprise, the defective parts were replaced free of charge, without any ifs or buts. I've never experienced such good and friendly customer service before. THANK YOU!!
