High-quality sports equipment and clothing, professional advice and excellent service. Pollux Sport Meiringen team is a team of experts and active mountain sportsmen, they know what you really need. You are in good hands, I highly recommend. ❤️
I want to thank for the excellent rental service! I was quickly picked up boots and skis, which turned out to be almost new (the boots even seemed to be new from the package). While skiing, I was extremely happy with my comfortable and perfectly fitting skis. I'm so glad I’ve chosen this rental service, since I only had a day to ski and I wanted everything to be perfect! Hope to become your client again this and next seasons!
Don’t let the relatively few number of reviews deceive you. This is a full service store offering everything from casual to serious alpine options. The owner, Benny(forgive possible typo), is a true expert in his craft. Anyone unsure what to buy etc will do very well seeking his advice. I came in just before closing time, initially wanting to just try on fits for my next pair of B2s. Despite this, Benny took the time to explain his range, and the use of feet scanners to optimise fit. (NB: he explained clearly that the scanning service will cost, unless I subsequently buy a pair of B2s. A fair policy since those services use expensive tech) Throughout the fitting, he gave me plenty of advanced tips on lacing / different considerations for B2s. Running the store for >38 years has clearly provided him with invaluable insights into what works/does not work for people. I very much benefitted from his advice. I was so impressed by his advice that I ultimately bought a new pair of B2s. They worked brilliantly for my subsequent mountain days. No more heel lift issues (or needing to tape my ankles). Tl;dr big mountain shop, expert advice, and local insights.
Be very careful with their return policy. There isn't one. Only buy exactly what you intend on keeping. I purchased a backpack while on holiday and when I went back to the hotel to repack my gear, the pack was too small. I went to return it and they would not accept it. They said that I had "rented" the pack despite owning it for less than 12 hours.
Excellent sports shop. My hiking boots fell apart and the staff were exceptionally helpful trying on several pairs of boots and eventually buying a pair. You rarely get service like this in the UK.
Very friendly and helpful.
