It’s incredible brewery surrounded by beautiful mountains. I enjoyed sunset. There are various types of authentic Sake products so you don’t have to go to Japan, come get here! Oliver who is a head brewer has huge passion for Sake, he has learned Sake brewing in Japan too. To know his story is worth to come. Cute labels are also hand-crafted.
Oli gave us an amazing tour through his sake production and explained each step in detail. His passion for the sake he produces is truly inspiring and you can taste it! It’s honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. We bought a bottle right after the tasting and are thoroughly enjoying it. Highly recommended if you’re looking for top-class sake made in Switzerland!
Yamasake was the best authentic sake brewery I have found in Europe! The tour was lovely and the owner was very gracious, and he also gave an excellent explanation of how to best enjoy sake. Even without Japanese food! In a lush and beautiful area which is easy to find, the sake production feels real and natural in ways I don't see at other more automated places. 10/10 would visit again!
We had a pleasure trying two Sake from Yamasake. Both were amazing, rich palate and nice mouth coating finish on the Junmai Ginjo! Can not wait to try the bestseller! 💕
Sake made in Switzerland - would recommend!
Recently I tasted the spring edition saké. I really don't know how to define this drink. I'm not sure if this should be called saké. It's got a certain freshness, but I guess it comes mainly from the citric acid they use. There's some fruitiness too, but the finish is rather unpleasant. So it might work for mixing but I would not drink it solo.
