Stoos is an absolute gem! 🏔️ The journey up with the funicular is an experience in itself, and once at the top, you’re greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of the Swiss Alps. The air is fresh, the scenery is stunning in every direction, and there are plenty of beautiful hiking trails for all levels. It’s peaceful, family-friendly, and feels like a little slice of paradise away from the hustle and bustle. Whether in summer with lush green meadows or in winter with snow-covered peaks, Stoos never disappoints. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Switzerland!
This hike starts with a ride which transports guests up to the car-free village of Stoos at 1,300m (4,265ft) above sea level. After a brief walk through the small mountain village, the chairlift takes hikers to the summit of the Klingenstock. This marks the beginning of the hike along the ridge, which offers a nice view to more than 10 Swiss lakes and countless Alpine peaks in Central Switzerland. Apart from the nice panoramic view, there is also a wide variety of Alpine flowers to discover. The hike can also be taken in the opposite direction, for there is a chairlift at both ends of the trail to take visitors up or down the mountainside. If you like nature and you are around here = have some time ~ it can be chill, unique and beautiful experience. People are very friendly and you can communicate in english or german language with no problems. Nature is here is absolutely beautiful and stunning! Highly recommend visiting if you do like hiking!
