I managed to get an appointment quite spontaneously, just before the Christmas holidays. A super friendly technician took care of installing my two new lamps. THANK YOU!
After a six-day wait, the appointment for the new LED lighting in the bathroom was postponed due to a staff shortage. However, it was made possible at short notice. The friendly technician arrived from the construction site and completed everything promptly and reliably. Thank you for making this possible before Easter.
For connecting this blue LAN cable, the company meier-elektro in Oberglatt billed me CHF 150.80 (!). Since I refused to accept this, I complained to them in writing. After more than six months, I was finally informed that they were still standing by the invoice amount, even though I hadn't been charged for the cable itself. Seriously? Fantastic customer service. I really don't want to do business with people like that.
I needed to have the bathroom ventilation system replaced. From scheduling the appointment to the installation, everything went smoothly and quickly thanks to a friendly installer, Merc :-)
Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with Meier Elektro. Their KNX specialist wasn't as specialized as advertised and, after several failed attempts to fix the problem, managed to damage our touch panel, which then had to be replaced. We were without a working outdoor camera for over a year, and that also had to be replaced as a result. However, they still billed us for the new touch panel, which I consider an absolute outrage. Meier Elektro damaged our perfectly good touch panel, and we have to pay for the replacement, even though we didn't get to choose it! 🙈 They advertise themselves as Hager KNX specialists, but they clearly lack the necessary skills. Finally, it's worth mentioning that we live in a standard single-family home and simply wanted to connect the touch panel to the outdoor camera after the connection was lost.
This company was recommended to us by the general contractor Pedrocchi in connection with a new construction project, who has since ended their collaboration with them. The idea was quite simple: everything in the house (lights, heating, garage, ventilation, etc.) was to be integrated with KNX. Each floor was also to have its own circuit breaker. Multimedia cabling was also to be installed in all rooms. Meier Elektro was very open to the idea and asked several questions, which made a good impression on me. Unfortunately, it turned out that the project manager at the time was just a paper tiger (i.e., he knew what he was talking about but couldn't put it into practice). Furthermore, it is suspected (everyone claims something different) that an agreement had been made with the general contractor to primarily use trainees for the work. Consequently, nothing was actually carried out as desired. Devices were replaced with cheaper alternatives without consultation. It later turned out that some components were incompatible with each other. None of the "professionals" checked anything. It should be mentioned that I was allowed to suggest and procure my desired KNX components myself, as they claimed to only be familiar with Hager components. (I wouldn't blame any electrician for laughing on the floor right now.) Furthermore, we were repeatedly accused of being too "demanding" and constantly changing our ideas and opinions. This escalated to the point where we refused to pay a large invoice (which was simply a lump sum) and requested a detailed invoice and proof of the work performed. To our genuine surprise, this never materialized. Well, we put the money we saved to good use, achieving our goals ourselves. Conclusion: Not really recommended. Nice team, but poor know-how and even worse execution. And we're talking about a single-family home here. Three stars because, despite everything, some work was done, and with one exception, everyone was and is very friendly.
