MediaMarkt Dietikon has a very good and wide product assortment, especially for electronics and household appliances. The store is spacious, well organized, and easy to navigate. Accessibility is also a big plus — it’s convenient to reach and suitable for people with reduced mobility. However, the staff could be more friendly and welcoming, as the service felt a bit indifferent during my visit. Overall, a solid store with room for improvement in customer service.
You don’t even deserve 1 star but you are lucky because that is no negative rating!!! It is very likely one of the worst, if not *the* worst, consumer experiences I have ever had in my 46 years! On December 24th, 2025, I paid online for a TV that I intended to pick up myself from your store in Dietikon. Order number: 293382093. Please note that I’ve just moved to Switzerland and currently do not have any television at home. This was the only reason I wanted to buy and pick it up the same day — to have at least some “company” during the holidays. So, I left from Beringen, where I live, drove 40 minutes to Winterthur to rent a van (since the TV is 77" and doesn’t fit in a regular car), and then continued to your store in Dietikon to collect it. When I arrived, communication was extremely difficult since your staff didn’t speak English — and your website is also not available in English, which is simply unacceptable. I was told that the TV had already been shipped and that I would receive it the same day! I explained that I specifically ordered it *for in-store pickup.* They insisted, however, that according to the receipt I had requested home delivery. I kindly asked if we could contact the courier to cancel the delivery so that I could pick up the TV directly from the store. I was told that the order could not be canceled, and if I wanted another TV, I would have to pay for it again. The only suggestion was to simply refuse the delivery when it eventually arrived. They even gave me a phone number for the delivery company, but no one ever answered — the line disconnected after just two rings. So, I left the store empty-handed. With no solution in sight, I had to drive back to Winterthur to return the van (which I had refueled), take my car, and drive all the way back home to Beringen. The entire process cost me five hours of my day, plus the rental fee, fuel, and other expenses — all for nothing. Of course, the TV never arrived. When I returned home, I saw that the delivery date had been updated from December 24th, 2025, to January 9th, 2026 — **17 days later** than it was supposed to! I will not accept this delivery, and I will never shop with your company again. I truly feel embarrassed on your behalf. Your job is to serve customers — not to put them through such frustrating experiences. Shameful, truly shameful. PS I attach the photo after the owner’s reply! It goes from bad to worse… However, I did sent a message through your website, I was completely ignored verifying that you have one of the worst customer service ever. Sorry…
Used to have a price matching policy (for non-online offers). Now they consistently ask 25% higher prices compared to direct (non-online) competitors. Avoid and/or compare prices before purchasing
Refunded my web order even though the item was available in other stores. 3-5 business days for the refund resulted in the promotional offer to expire. Thanks so much MediaMarkt.
Good store i buy games there and sometimes even tv or a playstation but i would like to know is it possible if you also put some other games from ps4 like resident evil 5?
Went to buy a MacBook, waiting for 20min next to the Apple devices for any employee to help me get one, all were busy…. so I left and bought one across the street at Digitec.
