Today, the company owner, Mr. Weibel, came to the construction site to remove the curtain rod ceilings, as they didn't match our request or the plans provided by the company itself. These MDF pieces are over 2 meters long. I found him perched alone on a stepladder he'd borrowed from the site, explaining that he ultimately refused to remove and replace them because "it was too dangerous to take them off because they'd been glued on"... (well, yes, they were glued on because his guys had used screws that were too short...). I've never seen such blatant bad faith. I'll remember this scene for the rest of my life. I still don't know whether to laugh or cry, but what's certain is that it perfectly encapsulates my entire experience with this company. PS: Do you think I should pay for the installation of these ceiling rods?
Maybe good for windows, but catastrophic for installing a cat flap in a window. We contacted them and asked if they had ever installed a microchip cat flap. We were assured that they did, and that they did it regularly. We wanted to clarify that it was indeed a microchip cat flap, not a magnetic one, and that they shouldn't use any materials that would interfere with the system. We could bring the cat flap to them for testing if necessary. They assured us they knew what to do. A few weeks later, we found ourselves with a hole in a window, yes, but an UNUSABLE cat flap because the material used interfered with the system. The offer we received was to redo the work with a new window at our expense, with a 40% discount on the bill. A SCANDAL!
Not effective knowledge
Having my windows replaced, I was able to follow the entire process, from the initial piece of wood to the final installation, and it was a fantastic job! We let them guide us in choosing the colors and exterior finishes (wood and metal), and the result is stunning. I'm surprised by some of the comments about this company because my experience with the employees of this carpentry workshop is simply excellent. They did a high-quality job, carefully and on time, and I have absolutely no regrets. It's a long-established family business in the village. I might have found a cheaper option elsewhere, but I realize that price isn't everything... thanks again for your great work!
