The municipal administration inadequately advertises the so-called "overflow parking" areas within its municipal area, thus accepting that tourists fall into the "fine trap." (See photo of the overflow parking area near the chairlift in Kiental, on the evening of February 6, 2022: there were no visible signs anywhere indicating that these are paid parking areas, yet I received a parking fine of CHF 40.) If one complains about this, the municipal administration considers itself within its rights and supports the fines. I recommend that all tourists avoid the municipal area (Reichenbach, Kiental, Griesalp) as much as possible.
The worst municipality I've ever lived in. They dare to fine you for parking in Kiental in unplowed spaces where there's no parking meter, yet they allow the daily chaos of the makeshift parking along Bahnhofstrasse, with all the locals unwilling to walk two meters. It's all about favoring certain people!
