My family and I (including two small children), walked all the way here having caught the funicular from Braunwald, and arrived to a half-empty restaurant to be told rather rudely that they were “fully booked.” The woman who told us this could see we were tired, and had two very young hungry children with us, but had obviously decided that English tourists were unwelcome. She first spoke to us in German despite us greeting her with an English accent, and asked if we had a reservation, which she clearly knew we didn’t. I wouldn’t return here even with a reservation just on principle.
