Fantastic. The tour was incredibly informative and our guide was patient with all our queries and questions. The opening days and hours are limited but the entrance fee is very reasonable for the insight we got into Dufour and Swiss military history. And the view from the ridge is one of the most beautiful in Switzerland!

What awaited us inside the mountain thrilled and surprised us beyond measure. Renato knows so many details and entertaining anecdotes. During the three-hour tour, we learned a great deal about Dufour's personality, Swiss history, the founding of the Swiss Red Cross, and what the national defense of Central Switzerland, specifically towards Lake Zurich, would have looked like. I thank all the members of the association for their dedication to this museum. It was a highlight from start to finish. It's worth calling ahead to arrange a time for your visit.
A small museum housed in two disused military bunkers. Renato gave a very informative tour, bringing us closer to the impressive personality of Guillaume Henri Dufour. We also learned a great deal about the function of such bunkers. An entertaining and highly recommended 2.5 hours of Swiss history. Thank you!

A truly exceptional experience. The Dufour Museum in Sattel isn't just a museum, it's a captivating journey through time. Renato led the tour with such knowledge, humor, and passion that even the youngest visitors were completely enthralled for two and a half hours. For me, Renato has earned a "black belt in history." A particularly lovely touch: Children receive green and brown owls, depending on their age. At the end, the owls are playfully tested with questions of their own – such dedication and creativity is simply incredible. Behind this magnificent place is a dedicated team who lovingly and meticulously bring the story of General Dufour to life. Fortress, exhibition, side stories – everything is perfectly designed and presented. A must-see for school groups and for anyone who might have missed out on something in school.
