Yesterday I went to Liechti AG in Schwarzenburg, as usual, to take my trash there, since I live a bit out of town and it's not collected. The employees are usually very nice and friendly, always asking if they can help with sorting the trash into the different containers. I've often thought to myself, "They're so nice here." Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience yesterday. An older gentleman was in front of me with a large bag full of plastic figurines. I saw a beautiful owl, definitely not something I should throw away. Politely and enthusiastically, I asked if I could have it, as I would really enjoy it. He immediately told me, "Yes, of course, you can have it. There's also an eagle owl included, if you'd like that one too." The man hadn't taken the bag out of his car; he'd left it in the trunk, inspecting the items. The seemingly newest employee of Liechti AG overheard our conversation and then went over to the man and, without asking, snatched the bag from his hands right in front of me, out of the car. The owner of the plastic figurines stared at him, bewildered, his mouth agape, and said to me, "Well, now you'll just have to take it out of the container." The employee went to the container, threw the bag in, and grinned. I grinned back and said I had no problem with you taking it from the container. The employee immediately became furiously hysterical. He explained to me that he was the boss on the premises and his rules applied. No trading was allowed here. I replied that I didn't want to trade here; I wasn't giving you any money for the owl. Then he responded, "That's the problem." I took the owl out of the container, along with the eagle owl, but the employee wouldn't leave me alone. He insisted that he was the boss here, that he was in charge, and that we had to obey him. After a two-minute discussion, I asked him if he actually thought it was funny, since none of us were laughing anymore, or if he was serious. He was completely serious. Several customers were unloading in the yard; they all heard the employee's behavior, and every single one of them shook their heads in disbelief. The nice older gentleman who had given me the owl and the eagle owl from his car (his personal property) apologized and said he couldn't understand the employee's behavior and thought it was completely unacceptable. He was disappointed, as was I. It's a shame that a single employee can drag the reputation of an entire company through the mud like that. It's a shame that someone seems to be so full of hatred that they have to treat their customers so badly at a recycling center that they feel compelled to leave a bad review. As I've read, other people have already complained about this man. I can understand that employees aren't allowed to grant customers access to the containers—but what this employee did was, firstly, illegal, and secondly, simply because he seems to be trapped in such a black hole inside that he has to take his frustration out on others. It feels like this person is full of hatred and anger inside; why, I don't know, but as a customer, you can tell. Snatching a wonderful gift from someone who is euphoric, with shining eyes, receiving it, and then throwing it away is incredibly cruel. Especially since he wasn't even allowed to. Unfortunately, I have to go back every week. I hope I never have to encounter this employee again and that from now on I only have contact with the friendly staff. I told my 40 guests at my birthday party what happened and posted a picture of the owl in the group chat. It was supposed to have a place next to the DJ booth, illuminated by an LED light. Everyone was sad and disappointed.

👌 Mr. Liechti gave us excellent advice, and the process was quick and easy. We were also surprised that the disposal cost less than we had expected. We will definitely order our next skip from Liechti again! …

We'd rather drive a few kilometers and minutes further and be treated properly. Having waste materials removed from our car without asking and being rude to the same employee every time is unacceptable. Never again!
