Treib-Seelisberg-Bahn
6377 Seelisberg, Switzerland, Seelisberg
Nice place
This is a stop on the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company (SGV), from where the funicular to Seelisberg departs just a few steps away. From there, you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Alps and the lake landscape. Up there, you'll find excellent restaurants, bus connections, and the "Swiss Path," a long-distance hiking trail that leads through Switzerland in stages, including this point. The views across the landscape, which has been enshrined in Swiss history as a founding myth since 1291, are truly unique.
Nostalgic funicular railway of the TSB. Historic buildings at the valley and mountain stations. Stunning panoramic views! Can be combined with boat and postal bus rides. Nearby activities: Hiking/climbing, biking, swimming (mountain lake), camping, paragliding, skiing. Copyright by BH/ZG 04.11.2025
It's great that the over 100-year-old funicular railway still exists. A leisurely ride from Lake Lucerne up to the village of Seelisberg.
An experience. The view of the mountains is very beautiful. You can spend a whole day up there.
Beautiful view, highly motivated staff. We'll be back.
