Hello everyone. I can only advise anyone who likes horses to stay at this stable. We were going to be self-sufficient, but the evening before our move, at 8:30 pm, we were told it wasn't possible. Even though it's sunny and 20 degrees Celsius, the horses are still standing in their dark stalls instead of in the already too-small paddocks in the sun. The feed troughs are in a terrible state, and unfortunately, nothing is species-appropriate. Some horses are lame, but nobody seems to care. It's a sad situation for all the animals there, and I really hope this situation ends soon. If you have any questions or are planning to move your beloved four-legged friends there, feel free to contact me. It's all truly sad, and I will definitely report back. The stable in Langnau is even worse; the horses there are standing in mud without daylight 🤮🤮🤮 Go and see for yourselves and help the animals if you can.
Nicole is such an open, welcoming, and friendly person. I went there for a trial ride, and I really enjoyed it. She observed me for a while but also let me try things out myself, which I personally appreciated. She explained and demonstrated everything very well. The indoor arena is fantastic! I was able to choose what I wanted to do and which horse I wanted to ride. It was simply wonderful! I think it's a great place, and the value for money is excellent. :) Thank you, Nicole!
Beautiful horses, good infrastructure, professional riding lessons and a family experience, go for a walk with a pony as and when you want
I bought a horse from Nicole a year ago, and it's been at the Grossmatt stables ever since. The horses are very well looked after. Nicole is always open to questions and very helpful. The stables are clean, and both the horses and riders feel very comfortable. I highly recommend the Grossmatt Horse Center.
I wanted to see two horses. Within five minutes, they showed me everything, and then the stressed-out woman drove away without saying anything. One horse was in a truly desolate state; giving its hind legs was almost impossible. The other was advertised as calm and suitable for therapy. But it was a nervous wreck, frightened by everything and everyone. Some of the stalls were truly dark holes. The horses were fed coffee grounds. What I encountered there was simply sad. Now, in retrospect, I've learned that many have had the same or even worse experiences there. My advice: stay away from it.
A simple business run by Nicole. A very impressive woman who manages the business with several very pleasant four-legged friends: horses of all sizes, and a few ponies, down to the very smallest. She handles everything single-handedly. I recommend this business for apprentices, as it has an extremely pleasant atmosphere. It's never too late to learn to ride. Even the youngest children start learning with ponies, learning how to care for the animals and how to handle them. This continues until adults, who are very impressive horses, are taught the right things so that these animals can become their best friends.
